I have been getting an email from a mailing list called Illustration Friday, just to help keep the creative juices flowing. Many of the topics are a bit hard, as they are generally aimed towards drawers & painters, which I most certainly am not! This morning, the email was waiting in my inbox, with a topic of “Open”. So without further ado, I present…
“Open”

This is the door to my office. It’s always open, and this is where I spend most of my time once the housework’s done & the toddler is asleep. It’s where I scrap & edit photos. It’s normally pretty messy creatively organised, but I’ve just done a big clean up & it’s not too bad at the minute. Through the open door, you can see my chair, and behind that is an awesome desk that Manuel built for me, it wraps around three sides of the room, with bookshelves & drawers. There’s lots of light, as it is an enclosed verandah, so the walls are fibro halfway up, then patterned glass windows for the top half – lots of light and very private.
